About Zeynep Tosun: Born in Istanbul, Zeynep Tosun studied Business Administration and continued her academic training in Italy-Milan at ‘Istituto di Marangoni’ by studying fashion design where she also attended summer-school.In the summer of 2005 she did her first internship at Derishow-Turkey. After attending fashion designing courses for a year, she was accepted to masters program study at the same school. During her masters degree studies she took illustration, digital fashion, and pattern and fashion history classes. Soon as she graduated and held her first fashion show in London on July 2006 and was offered a job from Alberta Ferretti and moved to Rimini. She was part of the design team of Alberta Ferretti as well a designer for Philosophy Di Alberta Ferretti and she developed her skills in haute couture and artistry. After a year she decided to move back to Turkey and she participated to ITKIB’s young designers contest in 2007 and won 3rd place. In the meantime she took part in Esin Maraşlıoglu’s ‘Designloft’ project. In the scope of this platform by which she had the opportunity to present her 15 look collection at the Les Ottomans with other 8 young designers, Tosun’s designs were showcased at Designloft stores in Kanyon. In addition, she worked as a design consultant for some brands. Following this project, for 3 months she worked as an assistant to Ece Ege, the creator and designer of Dice Kayek brand and then in September 2008 she established her own brand.In 2010,she won the best upcoming designer award of Elle Style Awards.She collaborated with Jonathan Sounders for Beefeater Gin and prepared a cruise collection for a special project in Turkey.Meanwhile She did three catwalk shows in Istanbul Fashion Week and this year she did two small catwalk shows in LFW and PFW on ONIOFF platform.She does consulting for YKM department stores and is the creative director of the same label`s collection called Agenda.At the present, she designs custom-made haute couture outfits as well working on her ready-to-wear collection,and she opens her first store in Akmerkez.
