Fingertip Fashion by Ali Tullett

Nail art is the best way to make a statement on a budget. No longer the afterthought of an outfit, nails have become the centerpiece, sparking much envy and intrigue. Match them to your mood, outfit or occasion, or step out of the box and don’t match to anything at all.

It’s pretty simple; we’re all potty about polish.

Nail trends are as fickle as the British weather, as we look to the catwalks each season for fashionable finger-tips. Whether it’s mirroring the Egyptian theme created by industry go-to-girl Sophie Robson for Topshop Unique, or copying elongated versions in thick black and white stripes from Gareth Pugh’s S/S 12 catwalk, the sky is the limit when it comes to our fingernails.

It’s a fad that isn’t fading thanks to companies such as Wah Nails – pioneers of fashion forward nail art – and Minx, who have brought convenience in the form of sticker-like nail-coverings.

With no more reasons to sport bare fingertips, surrender to this affordable beauty trend and cover your nails with lashings of paint.
